General WiziWig Profile Rib Instructions

Each WiziWig Profile Rib creates two consistent profiles.  The bottom line on each rib is used to compress the clay at the rim of your clay piece, depending on the thickness of your clay.

1. On a pottery wheel, throw a cylinder similar to the dimensions and weight listed for your specific WiziWig Rib.

2. With one hand on the inside of the cylinder and the other holding your WiziWig Rib to the outside of the cylinder, press your Rib into the cylinder, while applying gentle outward pressure with your inside hand, forming it to your WiziWig Rib profile shape.

3. Gently do this until a continuous, smooth line of clay touches your Rib.  This should take several passes.

4. For a nice, rounded rim, choose a rim size located at the bottom of your WiziWig Profile Rib and place over your rim with gentle pressure.

5.  Leave as is or add your own flare!
